Terms of Service

Last Updated: 23 May 2025

Welcome to Business Pal! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Business Pal's modular online business tools and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Business Pal is operated by Twaambles Technologies, located at 44 Mbizi Road Chilenje, Lusaka, Zambia.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Business Pal provides a modular online platform designed to help businesses manage various operations. The core free account includes billing (invoicing and receipting). Users can upgrade to premium by selecting various add-on modules, including but not limited to Expense Tracking, Accounting, HR & Payroll, Inventory Management, Client Relations Management (CRM), and Law Firm Management.

3. User Accounts

3.1. Registration

To access the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Business Pal immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Billing & Payments

4.1. Free Account

Business Pal offers a free account with core billing features (invoicing and receipting).

4.2. Premium Modules

Access to additional modules requires an upgrade to a premium account and payment of the applicable fees. Pricing for premium modules will be clearly presented at the time of selection.

4.3. Payment Terms

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processors. You agree to abide by the terms and conditions of these payment processors.

5. Google Drive Integration (Attachments Module)

5.1. Functionality

Certain modules, such as HR and Law Firm Management, offer an "Attachments" feature that allows users to upload files to their personal Google Drive account directly from Business Pal. This functionality is provided for your convenience to centralize document management.

5.2. User Consent

When you choose to use the Google Drive integration, you will be prompted to log in to your Google Drive account via a secure pop-up window handled by Google's authentication system. You will be asked to grant Business Pal permission to access specific data on your Google Drive. We request the minimum necessary permissions:

By authorizing this access, you agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5.3. Data Storage and Access

When you upload a file via Business Pal to Google Drive, a reference (e.g., Google Drive file ID, file name, original name, and relevant metadata) is stored in your Business Pal database. This reference allows you to conveniently download or delete the file through Business Pal once you log in again. Business Pal does not store the content of your files directly on its servers when you use the Google Drive integration; files reside on your Google Drive.

5.4. Data Usage

Business Pal will only access, use, store, or share data obtained from Google Drive in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and solely for the purpose of providing the agreed-upon functionality (e.g., enabling you to attach, retrieve, and manage files associated with your Business Pal records). We will not use this data for advertising purposes or transfer it to third parties for advertising.

5.5. Revoking Access

You can revoke Business Pal's access to your Google Drive at any time through your Google Account settings (at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). Revoking access will prevent Business Pal from uploading new files or accessing previously uploaded files, but will not delete files already stored on your Google Drive.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual Property

All content and materials available on Business Pal, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Twaambles Technologies or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

Business Pal reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at its sole discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Twaambles Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (c) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zambia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

Business Pal reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
